CarAPI is an automotive data API platform providing vehicle information for applications and businesses. Our APIs cover VIN decoding, vehicle specifications, MSRP & market pricing, makes/models/trims databases, license plate to VIN decoding, and more — all accessible via a single, consistent REST API.
Our plans include requests per day from 1,500 to 6,000. Additional requests per day can be opted into and billed per request. License plate lookups have no limit as these are billed per request.
Our year/make/model data goes back to 1900. Trim specification and VIN decoder goes back to 1990.
We offer a free dataset that covers data from 2015 - 2020. Data outside these years requires a subscription.
Our vehicle specification and VIN decoding works for the US market and most of Canada. License plate lookups cover North America and Europe.
